ISLAM MED KIWI-SMAK ?
Newzealendere
Djevelskapen i
forskjellig i Australia og New Zealand. Mens Australia
halal-hekser syd for ekvator.
Pressen i New Zealand er stort sett øredøvende
New Zealand Herald og
Otago Daily Times, begge temmelig
skjedd i mellomtiden var bl a 11 september.
Otago Daily Times 29 September 2002
Auckland: Immigration Service officials are saying little about two
young men from the second group of Tampa boat people who are being detained in
Mount Eden Prison for "security reasons". Officials are refusing to
elaborate on the reasons for detaining the two youths from the final wave of 61
asylum-seekers who arrived at Auckland Airport early yesterday.

Mosque
faithful prayed in wrong direction for 20 years.
Ananova 5 September 2002
A New Zealand mosque will be realigned to face Mecca 23 years after it
was built. The building should point toward the holy city of Mecca but is off
by 30 degrees. The problem was discovered three years ago and enough money has
now been raised to correct the mistake. Building surveyors say worshippers at
the Auckland mosque had been praying in the wrong direction for 20 years.
Mosque leader Mohammed Faiyum Khan announced that enough funds have now been
raised for a new mihrab - an arched niche that points the pious toward Mecca.
The Weekend Australian August 31, 2002
NEW Zealand saw the swearing in of its first-ever Muslim MP this week,
when Ashraf Choudhary took the Koran in his hand and swore to serve his
country.
Many welcomed the election of the new MP as a sign of New Zealand's increasing ethnic diversity. But one man who has not welcomed the trend was sitting across the chamber from Mr Choudhary as he took the oath.
Maverick MP Winston Peters rode to electoral success last month by
campaigning against immigration, and since the election has made even more
virulent and hysterical attacks on the country's migrants and refugees. Mr
Peters used his first speech to the new parliament to accuse Prime Minister
Helen Clark's re-elected Labour Government of treason, and to claim it was
bringing in "necrophiliacs, triple-murderers, killers, rapists,
fraudsters". …
Despite the condemnation, Mr Peters's views have significant public
support. His New Zealand First party was one of the success stories of last
month's election, capturing 10.6 per cent of the vote to lift its
representation in the 120-seat parliament from five to 13. The part-Maori MP and law graduate appears to
be trying to appeal to the Maori population, who make up much of New Zealand's
underclass.
Bible
and Koran come together as Parliament opens
The New Zealand Herald 26 August 2002
MPs did lots of
swearing and proved they did not know their ABCs today when they turned up for
the opening day of Parliament. ...........................
Muslim Labour MP Ashraf Choudhary made New Zealand parliamentary
history when he swore allegiance on the Koran, supplying the treasured book
himself. Called forward by their full names, the other MPs either gave an oath
on the Bible, or swore an affirmation to the Queen. That offered onlookers the
chance to a) learn who had interesting middle names b) play Spot the Christian,
a game popularised by the news media when United Future did well on election day. It may be a surprise to know that 66 MPs swore
oaths on the Bible, one of
them Simon William English, more commonly known
as Bill. Seven out of the eight United Future MPs swore on the Bible, while 50
MPs made non-religious affirmations.
Bildet viser det første muslimske medlem av

Muslim
MP sought better deal for Zaoui
Stuff NZ 11 December 2003
Muslim Labour list MP Ashraf Choudhary says it was unacceptable that
suspected Algerian terrorist Ahmed Zaoui was kept in solitary confinement for
nearly a year. But he stopped short of calling for his release. Dr Choudhary
said he had appealed to Immigration Minister Lianne Dalziel several times to
move Zaoui out of solitary confinement in Auckland's maximum security
Paremoremo Prison.
Muslimsk parlamentsmedlem hjelper muslimsk terrorist ?
bedre:
Some
stoning okay says Choudhary
New Zealand Herald
05.07.05 via Faithfreedom
Muslim MP Ashraf
Choudhary will not condemn the traditional Koran punishment of stoning to death
some homosexuals and people who have extra-marital affairs. But the Labour MP -
who has struggled with his "role" as the sole parliamentary
representative of the local Muslim community - is not advocating the practice
here. Mr Choudhary once again found himself between a rock and a hard place on
questions of Islam when he appeared on TV3's 60 Minutes programme last night.
It was examining warnings about extreme fundamentalism within New Zealand's
Islamic community.
Mr Choudhary was
asked: "Are you saying the Koran is wrong to recommend that gays in
certain circumstances be stoned to death?" He replied: "
No, no. Certainly what the Koran says is correct.
"In those
societies, not here in New Zealand," he added.
stakkar.
New Zealands statsminister, Helen Clark,
Interpol
assists probe into terrorist suspect
New Zealand Herald 14.12.2002
Security agencies around the world are helping to investigate the true
identify of the international terrorism suspect held at Paremoremo prison.
Immigration Minister Lianne Dalziel said last night that her concerns about the
man were very serious. "I believe we have an obligation to undertake a
thorough investigation."
The New Zealand police, Interpol and other security agencies with links around the world had been contacted, she said. Neither the Australian Government nor Scotland Yard's terrorism division would last night say whether they were helping New Zealand officials. The Weekend Herald understands that the man causing concern is Algerian Ahmed Zaoui, a member of a militant Islamic group responsible for a range of atrocities and terrorist activities in Algeria and in Europe.
Al-Qaeda expert
claims 10 terror-linked groups are in NZ
NZ Stuff 30 July 2005 via JihadWatch
A world-renowned
al-Qaeda expert is backing New Zealand First leader Winston Peters's claim that
Islamic extremist groups are operating in New Zealand. In a speech to Far North
Grey Power on Thursday, Peters raised the spectre of Islamic terrorism among
immigrants and revealed that he had written to Muslim leaders, asking them to
report "radicals, troublemakers and potential dangers" to the police.
Singapore-based Dr
Rohan Gunaratna, head of the International Centre for Political Violence and
Terrorism Research, said there were about 10 groups linked to international Islamic
terror networks operating out of New Zealand cities. "There are a number
of groups raising funds, doing propaganda and recruiting for jihad
groups," he said. "They never operate under their own names, but are
in both Muslim and non-Muslim groups."
Gunaratna said the
Government was aware of the groups and some were under investigation. Security
Intelligence Service director Richard Woods would not comment yesterday on
whether the service was involved in any surveillance of Muslim or suspected
terrorist groups.
Crime
scene: Police ask about identity of taxi driver in Ponsonby attack
New Zealand Herald 11.12.2002
Were you in Ponsonby early on Sunday? If so, you may be able to help
the police with inquiries into a sex attack in a taxi. A 27-year-old woman was
walking home from her work at an inner-city bar some time after 3:30am. At the
bottom of College Hill a taxi driver pulled alongside her and the driver
offered her a lift, which she accepted. He drove to Mackelvie St, stopped the
car, grabbed the woman and sexually violated her.
She managed to escape before the man could rape her and hid in a
carpark a short distance up Williamson Ave. She has been unable to give a
description of the car or offender except to say the car "was not
white" and the driver "was not
Caucasian".
Insanity plea
over mosque cleaner's killing
Stuff 11 April 2003
A
Somali refugee is pleading not guilty by reason of insanity for the murder of
an elderly cleaner at Auckland's Mt Roskill mosque in July. Psychiatrists
called by the defence yesterday at the High Court in Auckland agreed that
Mohamed Hussein, 22, from Mt Albert was suffering from paranoid schizophrenia
when he killed 72-year-old Alan Priestley.
NZ
a haven for terrorists: spy chief
By Claire Harvey, New Zealand correspondent
The Australian March 17, 2004
TERRORISTS
may be using New Zealand as a "safe haven" to plot attacks or obtain
passports, according to the country's security chief, who has already denied citizenship
to three people with suspected terror links. But the three unnamed individuals
were still in New Zealand, Security Intelligence Service director Richard Woods
said yesterday, signalling he was frustrated they had not been expelled.
New Zealand was realising physical isolation
did not make it immune from terror, he said in Wellington. "We are
identifying more people in or from New Zealand who are of terrorist or other
security concern," he said. "In the year 2002-03 I objected to three
people getting citizenship."
Asked what the three were suspected of
planning or doing, he said: "I referred earlier to the safe haven
concerns." In response to a question about whether he was unhappy about
their remaining in the country, Mr Woods said: "You should make your own
judgment on that."
Mr Woods's rare public remarks brought a
terse response from the Government. "New Zealand is not a safe haven for
terrorists," Prime Minister Helen Clark said. Immigration Minister Paul
Swain said the SIS had not objected when the three applied for residency
several years ago.
"However, (the SIS) became aware later
of security concerns, which is when it recommended they be declined citizenship
and consequently a New Zealand passport. The SIS has not recommended their
residency be revoked," Mr Swain said. The SIS is under fire over the case
of Algerian detainee Ahmed Zaoui, an elected Algerian parliamentarian who fled
the country after a military coup in 1992. He has been held in an Auckland
prison for more than a year because the SIS suspects he has terrorist links,
despite being granted refugee status.
Security scares are not new. In 2000,
Auckland police announced they had discovered a group of Afghan refugees plotting to blow up Sydney's Lucas
Heights nuclear reactor, although they had insufficient evidence for a
trial. The men still live in Auckland.
Also yesterday, New Zealand announced a
review of security for visiting ships after HMAS Success was daubed with
graffiti in Wellington Harbour on Monday reading "J Howard US
Bootlicker". Miss Clark said she was "concerned" at the attack
and Foreign Minister Phil Goff said it showed a terrorist could have blown up
the ship.
Vel,
Videre
skriver The Australian følgende:
Terrorists could launder money or obtain
weapons in New Zealand, Mr Woods said.
"Individuals
may simply use New Zealand as a place to lie low for a while, perhaps acquiring
citizenship and then travelling overseas on that immensely valuable document, a
New Zealand passport," he said. New Zealand passports enabled wide travel
"without attracting much attention, and there are visa-free arrangements
for a number of countries", he said. New Zealand passport-holders are
automatically granted visas when entering Australia.
Apology ordered for Muslim's TV comment
Stuff.co.nz 08 March 2004
A television channel has been ordered to broadcast an apology for comments on air by a visiting Muslim lecturer who advocated death for homosexuals. Speaking on Triangle Television's Voice of Islam, Brother Abdullah Hakim Quick said Aids was caused by homosexual practices, that homosexuals were dropping dead from Aids and wanted "to take us all down with them". They were "sick" and "not natural".
In the programme, broadcast last September,
Mr Quick said the Islamic position on homosexuality was
death.
"Muslims are going to have to take a
stand (against homosexuals) and it's not enough to call names." The
Broadcasting Standards Authority called the comments "hate speech"
and has told Triangle it must broadcast a full retraction, an apology from the
programme's producer and an explanation of why the complaint was upheld.

Jury
will see video of woman burned alive
New Zealand Herald
24.08.2004 via APS
Forum
A jury in a murder
trial in the High Court at Auckland is to see security video footage of a woman
being burned alive at the service station where she worked.
"When you see
the tape, you will see a murder being committed," Crown prosecutor Aaron
Perkins said in his opening address yesterday.
Ahmad Riyaz Khan,
aged 23 of Mangere, is accused of murder by setting fire to his former
girlfriend Gulshad Banu Hussein at the Shell service station in Atkinson Ave,
Otahuhu, in August last year after she said she did not want anything more to
do with him.
It is alleged that
as the 23-year-old woman tried desperately to escape, Khan poured a litre
bottle of lighter fluid over her head, shoulders and upper body before setting
her ablaze with a cigarette lighter. Mr Perkins told the jury that Ms Hussein
"erupted in what can only be described as a fireball".
"She died a
horrible death while this young man simply watched on."
Mr Perkins said
that Khan, a car groomer, fell for the attractive, hard-working, ambitious
woman and they started seeing each other about a month before her death. But Mr
Perkins said that the relationship soured and Ms Hussein made it clear she
wanted nothing more to do with Khan.
However, Khan was
obsessive and refused to accept that it was over. Ms Hussein was said to be
scared of Khan who on one occasion allegedly hid near the service station where
she was the manager and chased her when she left. She was advised to take out a
trespass notice against him. Khan allegedly told a witness he was going to
"blow up" the service station.
Mr Perkins said
that the killing was captured by service station security cameras as the drama
unfolded over two minutes. He said that Khan was seen wrestling Ms Hussein to
the corner of the shop where the flammable liquids were displayed. Three times
she managed to break free and ran to the door, which Khan had allegedly closed.
"Each time
she breaks free and runs for the door, she is caught and each time she is taken
back to the corner where the flammable liquids are," Mr Perkins told the
jury. He said Ms Hussein was brutally dragged by the hair.
The video would
show a young woman in a "complete state of panic" desperate to get
away. A taxi driver saw her banging on the door, screaming for help, but
instead of intervening, left to get the police.
Mr Perkins said
that the jury would see a "flash of light" on the videotape behind
the counter and within a fraction of a second Ms Hussein turned into a ball of
flame. Khan, who Mr Perkins said was standing directly alongside her, scrambled
over the counter, his own hand and arm in flames. Despite her upper body being
engulfed in flame, Ms Hussein managed to crawl towards the door and out into
the forecourt where she tried to turn on a tap.
Mr Perkins said
that passersby tried to douse the flames with wet clothing before one of them
turned a fire extinguisher on the stricken woman. Ms Hussein died on the
forecourt where she fell. Witnesses would say that Khan did nothing to help but
instead complained that he, too, had been burned.
One would say that
Khan denied knowing Ms Hussein and that he said he had tried to save her. He
allegedly gave various explanations of what happened. He said that an LPG
cylinder exploded, something the Crown said did not
happen. He also claimed that Ms Hussein was having problems with her parents
and her old boyfriend and "blew herself up".
Mr Perkins said
the jury might prefer not to think that someone could commit such an awful
crime against another human being, but not everyone thought as they did. The
trial before Justice Marion Frater is expected to last two to three weeks.

Bildet til høyre: Medskyldig i mord. New Zealands statsminister, Helen

statsminister, Jon Howard nektet å slippe dem inn, åpnet Helen Clark dørene for
dem på New Zealand.

Customs seize huge stash of counterfeit cash
Sydney Morning
Herald 20 October 2005 via JihadWatch
A smuggler
arriving from Sydney has been caught at a New Zealand airport with almost
$US1.3 million in counterfeit notes. Mustafa Yousif Ibrahim was arrested at
Auckland International Airport as he came off a flight from Sydney last night.
Ibrahim was born
in Sudan but is believed to have been made a New Zealand resident in the early
1990s after arriving as a refugee. A police summary of facts, presented in the
Manukau District Court today, said the counterfeit money was found by customs
officers as they searched Ibrahim's bags before he came through the entry gate
at the airport.
Brash
appoints political correctness eradicator
New Zealand Herald
27.10.05
National has
created the menacing-sounding role of "political correctness
eradicator" to counter the Government's "PC" culture that it
says is eroding New Zealanders' rights and freedoms. The role is the creation
of party leader Don Brash, who has given Wayne Mapp, ranked number 14 in the
National line-up announced yesterday, the eradication job. Dr Mapp, who holds a
PhD in international law, gave a speech in June about getting rid of the
politically correct culture. This impressed Dr Brash so much he decided to
create the role. In that speech Dr Mapp said political correctness ran counter
to the "basic freedoms of society".
"A person, an
institution or a government is politically correct when they cease to represent
the interests of the majority and become focused on the cares and concerns of
minority sector groups."
Eneste unntak i så måte synes å ha vært New Zealand:
Cartoons 'test of
Islamic tolerance'
Stuff February
2006
The battle between
freedom of speech and religion is flairing across the world after newspapers
published caricatures of the Islamic prophet Mohammed. The Dominion Post is publishing the cartoons today. They depict
Mohammed in various poses, including one in which he is wearing a bomb in his
turban. In Islam, any caricature of Mohammed is considered blasphemous. Muslims
across the world have reacted with outrage – including violence and bomb
threats – to the 12 cartoons, first published in the Danish Jyllands-Posten
newspaper.
I tillegg til The Dominion
NTB.
Kato Air reprise på
New Zealand
noe muslimsk terrorangrep i Norge.
på New Zealand.
New Zealand/Eagle Air flight 2279
innenriksflygning fra Blenheim til Christchurch på
New Zealand.
Slik saken fremstilles i
vestlig presse sysselsetter stort sett kun profesjonelle yrkesløgnere i
islam-relaterte saker.
